🌅 Luori Tea Collection (落日野茶) in Chongqing - the perfect sunset spot! Finally made it to the legendary 落日野茶 and it's pure magic! This is where urban skyscrapers meet the setting sun, and nature shows its incredible beauty. How to get there: the restaurant is located at 南岸区一天门街涂山派出所莲花村社区警务室西北50米 in Nan'an District. From the nearest metro station, you can take a taxi or walk for 15-20 minutes. The venue is open from 1:00 PM until late at night. What to order: we got the tea set for 150 yuan for two people and were very satisfied. You can also order the barbecue set for 350 yuan. Nice feature - you can sit as long as you want without time limits. When to arrive: definitely come by 5:00 PM! After 6:00 PM all the best tables with panoramic views are already taken. The ideal time to visit is sunset, which happens around 6:45-7:00 PM. Photo opportunities: there's a special platform on top for professional photo shoots, but the queue starts forming by 6:00 PM. After 7:30 PM, beautiful lighting turns on for the bridge and buildings - also a great moment for photos. There are many similar tea venues on the hilltop, but 落日 is considered the most popular. This place is a must-visit for anyone who wants to see the city in all its glory! #Chongqing #localguides #chongqingtravel #chongqingchina #chongqing

5 Epic Chongqing Photo Spots for Viral Snaps Chongqing, China’s “Mountain City,” is a photographer’s playground, where neon-lit hillsides, ancient streets, and trains slicing through buildings create jaw-dropping shots. Forget generic snaps—these five viral photo spots come with precise angles and insider tips to make your Instagram feed pop. From cyberpunk skylines to cultural gems, here’s where to point your lens in Chongqing! 1️⃣ Hongyadong: Neon-Charged Hillside Glow Perched on the Jialing River’s edge in Yuzhong District, Hongyadong’s 11-story stilted buildings, rooted in traditional Bayu architecture, light up like a sci-fi dream. A modern hub since its 2006 renovation, it’s Chongqing’s most iconic photo op. 📸 Where to Shoot 📸 📎 Riverside near Grand Theater: Take Line 6 to Grand Theater Station (Exit 2), walk to the Jialing River under Qiansimen Bridge, and capture Hongyadong’s glowing facade reflected on the water. Best at night for vibrant lights. 📎 Qiansimen Bridge: Stroll onto the bridge for a bird’s-eye view, framing the complex against the skyline. Dusk adds golden-hour magic. 📎 Dai Family Lane Cliff Path: Near Yudandan Hot Pot, this quieter path offers close-up shots of wooden facades and lanterns. 2️⃣ Ciqikou Ancient Town: Timeless Sichuan Charm In Shapingba District, Ciqikou, a Ming Dynasty relic, boasts cobblestone streets and traditional Sichuan architecture, reflecting Chongqing’s 3,000-year history. It’s a cultural hotspot by the Jialing River. 📸 Where to Shoot 📸 📎 Baolun Temple: Capture the 1,000-year-old temple’s double-eaved roofs and serene courtyards, best in early morning light for soft tones. 📎 Heng Jie Alley: Near the temple, shoot traditional doorways and stone steps for a quiet, historical vibe—less crowded than the main street. 📎 Jialing Riverside: Frame Ciqikou’s tiled roofs with the river in the foreground, ideal at sunset for golden hues. 3️⃣ Night Views from Raffles City or Longmenhao: Cyberpunk Skyline Chongqing’s skyline, with the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers reflecting towering skyscrapers, is a futuristic marvel, born from the city’s rapid urban boom. 📸 Where to Shoot 📸 📎 Raffles City Observation Deck: At Chaotianmen Square, this 250-meter-high deck (Line 1, Chaotianmen Station) offers panoramic views of the river confluence. Shoot at night for twinkling lights, using a tripod for long exposures. 📎 Longmenhao Old Street: Located in Nanan District (Line 6, Shangxinjie Station), this street offers a unique blend of traditional lantern-lit buildings against the backdrop of modern skyscrapers, especially during evening performances. 4️⃣ Yangtze River Cableway: Sky-High City Vistas Since 1987, the Yangtze River Cableway, connecting Yuzhong and Nanan Districts, has offered aerial views of Chongqing’s rivers and hills. It’s a tourist magnet for its cinematic perspectives. 📸 Where to Shoot 📸 📎 During the Ride: Grab a window seat to snap the skyline, bridges, and rivers below, best at dusk for a mix of daylight and city lights. 📎 Xinhua Road Station: Near Jiefangbei (Line 2, Jiefangbei Station), shoot the cable car against the urban backdrop before boarding. 📎Shangxin Street Station: In Nanan, capture the riverside view from the platform, framing the cable car’s descent. 5️⃣ Liziba Station: Train-Through-Building Wonder In Yuzhong District, Liziba Station is a global sensation for its monorail, which slices through a 19-story residential building on floors 6–8. Noise-reducing technology, such as rubber tires, keeps it quiet for residents, showcasing Chongqing’s innovative urban design. 📸 Where to Shoot 📸 📎 Viewing Platform: Outside the station (Line 2, Liziba Station, Exit B), capture the train mid-passage through the building, best when it’s centered for maximum impact. 📎Secret Café: Exit left to a family-owned café next door, perfect for cozy shots with the station as a backdrop—ideal for waiting out train schedules.
