As a century-old staircase connecting the upper and lower parts of Yuzhong District, the rebuilt Eighteen Ladders perfectly reproduces the bustling life of old Chongqing. Coming out of Exit 4 of Jiaochangkou Subway Station, you will see the main staircase paved with bluestone slabs, with stilt-house-style shops scattered on both sides.
