Taitung Chihshang - a food town not to be missed

Do you visit tourist factories every time you go to Taitung? I recommend Chihshang to every gourmet. The food here is something you absolutely cannot miss. In fact, when talking about Chihshang, the first thing that comes to everyone’s mind is the Chihshang bento, because the unique chewy and fragrant taste of Chihshang rice makes people’s appetites grow, so everyone can’t stop eating it. In addition to the three most famous bento shops, Wu Tao, Quan Mei Xing, and Xiang Xiang, I especially recommend the local hot stir-fry 😆 Haha, don’t you find it a bit strange that I didn’t recommend the bento boxes that the locals love to eat? That’s because there are only a few dishes in the bento boxes. But for me, the most delicious thing in Chihshang is the rice! So the hot stir-fried dishes that can allow me to eat two extra bowls of rice attract my attention more. I have eaten at many stir-fry restaurants here. I didn't specify any because I feel that I haven't been disappointed so far. I highly recommend a restaurant that serves stir-fried seafood because this place is close to the sea and the mountains. The food is extremely fresh and paired with rice, I really eat three bowls of it in a row. Most of the shops here are small, and many of them don’t have names. If you are not content with just simple bento dishes like me, go to a few more shops nearby and ask the boss if they use Chihshang rice before entering. If they do, you can go in. The chance of making a bad decision is low. It is also recommended to eat at a few shops in a row. There will always be one that suits your taste 😆 Wutaochi Shang Lunch Bag Cultural Story Museum is a great place to take a walk and take some beautiful photos after a meal. If it is difficult to order dishes for one or two people, we recommend eating bento. If there are more people, we recommend eating at seafood restaurants or small shops. This food town will really not let you down!
