Qiandao Lake

Qiandao Lake, also known as Thousand Island Lake, is a large artificial lake located in Chun'an County, Zhejiang Province, China. It was formed after the completion of the Xin'an River hydroelectric station in 1959, which submerged the old city of Chun'an and several villages. The lake is named "Qiandao," which means "Thousand Island," because it contains 1,078 large islands and thousands of smaller ones. These islands are of various shapes and sizes, each offering unique scenic views.
