Chiayi-Fenqihu (Delicious and Fun Cat Palace)

Speaking of Fenqihu, what really impressed me was that there were a lot of cats! (There are also many in Alishan) If you are a railway fan, Fenchihu is a must-visit place, because you can legally take photos on the tracks, and there is a place where trains are displayed. If you wear a cheongsam and take a photo of a steam train here, it will be very retro. The garage is free to enter and exit. If you are a backpacker and don't plan to stay here, you can leave your packages at the train station. There are many lockers here, so you won't be a burden when you go shopping. The first thing that comes to everyone's mind when visiting Fenchihu is the bento. Every traditional bento here is classic and has its own characteristics. I personally recommend the Nostalgic Restaurant, which tastes very much like my grandma's. If you want to try other things, there are also Tomahawk Pork Chops and a variety of bento. You can give them a try. I have eaten almost all of them and there is no bad one. If you have a small appetite like me, you can also have some snacks. I highly recommend: brown sugar Q cakes and donuts. They are suitable for gifts or for yourself. The most important thing is that they have a high CP value, are cheap and delicious. The streets of Fenqihu are not big, but it is recommended to walk on the small paths beside it at daybreak (don’t walk at night because it is very dark and there are no street lights). You may discover a tribe and a bamboo forest, another fairyland. There are really a lot of cats and dogs here, and they are all very friendly. You can pet them as you like with a cat bar. If you like to pet cats, you can come here and take a look. Most of them are lazily basking in the sun, and you can capture good angles at any time. Because of the high mountains, even if the sun comes out it is not very hot and it is almost always cool, so it is a very good choice to escape the summer heat. If you don't like climbing and are too lazy to challenge Alishan, you can come here. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the parking lot to the main street. It is not too steep and you can rest in the middle. Moreover, if you stay here, you can open the window in the morning and see the sunrise. If you are too lazy to climb and are out of breath, I really recommend staying here!
