#traveldiaries The "Blue Sutan Temple", famous as the Blue Temple, is not inhabited by monks. Like the White Pagoda in Chin Rai, it was built as a pilgrimage monastery. "Wang Suk Tan" is a Thai term. It means "House of the dancing tiger" after the roaring tigers near the temple. By the early 21st century, the church was falling apart and was completely rebuilt in 2016. The architect is Putha Kabkaew, a student of the architect Chalermchai Kositpipat who built the White Temple.
