Wat Ket..

Wat Ket is an ancient community filled with people from various races, including Chinese, Westerners, and locals. This has given rise to the community’s diverse cultures, which are reflected in its classical architecture to the present day, with “Wat Ket Karam” as the center of the community. Furthermore, Wat Ket community used to be an important port for traveling between Rattanakosin (Bangkok) and Chiang Mai and other cities to the south. Later, in 1796, after Chiang Mai was established as a vassal state of Rattanakosin, construction of houses began to take off seriously. The Wat Ket area therefore began to play an increasingly important role in the economy. You can see and learn about these things through various items in the Wat Ket Karam Museum, which collects the original treasures of the temple and has been well-preserved, such as the carved gable, the raka leaves, cups and bowls, and various containers.
