#summervacay Wat Chedi Luang Varaviharn is one of those spots that makes you stop and go, “Whoa, this place has *seen* things.” Right in the heart of Chiang Mai’s Old City, this ancient temple has some seriously cool ruins. The massive chedi (or stupa) used to be even taller until an earthquake hit, but even now, it’s super impressive, cracked, weathered, and full of character. You’ll find serene little Buddha statues around the base, and elephant carvings peeking out of the stone. It's peaceful but also kind of epic at the same time. I just sat on one of the benches for a while, soaking it all in. The vibes? Immaculate. There’s also a neat city pillar shrine nearby and a chill vibe that’s perfect if you wanna slow down and escape the heat. Definitely bring water, wear comfy shoes, and don’t rush it.
