#ChiangmaiTravel Our own Chiang Mai travel and food destinations. Really went, really enjoyed it. 🌄🍜 Start the trip at Wat Chedi Luang in the heart of Chiang Mai's moat. This is a very sacred historical landmark. It stands out with a large ancient pagoda that is partially ruined but still very sacred. The closer you walk, the more you feel a certain power. Especially when the sun is setting and the wind is falling, the light reflecting off the ancient bricks is very good. Then walk to Wat Lok Moli, a small temple with a beautiful Lanna style. The highlight is "Phra Nang Chamadevi" enshrined in front of the carved wooden temple. Anyone who wants to pray for love, kindness, and elegance must not miss it. We went to pray and I must say that just standing in front of her makes my heart feel strangely still, as if she is really listening. Next is Wat Phra Singh, the temple for the Year of the Horse and is also the center of the hearts of Chiang Mai people. The highlight here is Phra Buddha Sihing enshrined in the Lai Kham temple. It is beautiful and magnificent but not over the top. Those who love to make merit should come and pay homage at least once in their life. It is also very good for praying for good fortune. Cut to the scene when we are hungry! The first shop, Tee Noi Boat Noodles behind CMU, is a shop that we like so much that we have to go every time. It's a boat noodle with a spicy and rich flavor, packed with ingredients. The highlight is the "Hell Eggs", which use quail eggs topped with the shop's own chili oil. It's so spicy that you can't put your spoon down. Next up is a legendary shop, Midnight Fried Chicken, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, eaten with sticky rice and Nam Phrik Num or Nam Phrik Ong is the best. Other fried dishes like fried pork and Sai Ua are also good. It's perfect for a late-night meal when you want both deliciousness and classic tastes. Another shop that we always have to wait in line for, but we accept it is Suki Chang Phueak, the branch behind CMU. The suki is delicious and has a crispy, wok-like aroma. Those who like stir-fried and dry food must try it. What we like is the pork marinated in the shop's special sauce. It's so delicious that you don't have to order anything else. Last but not least, don't miss Wat Phra That Doi Kham, which is not far from the city. It's a temple that we often go to pray for work, success, or big things in life. If anyone has prayed and had their wish come true, don't forget to bring a jasmine garland to offer to the monks as a thank you. The faith here is really palpable. --- Overall, Chiang Mai never disappoints. Beautiful places, delicious food, and good energy that you can't find in any other city.
