Wat Chai Mongkol, Chiang Mai – Temple visit and fish release

Today, I had the chance to visit Wat Chai Mongkol, located by the Ping River. This serene and beautiful temple features a chapel, a pagoda, and several spots for worship. One of its highlights is the peaceful and shady fish release area by the river. 🍃 When I arrived, I chose to pay respects to the Buddha first, then bought fish from a nearby shop to release them into the river. I prayed for letting go, forgiveness, and opening my life to positive things. 🕊️ ✨ While releasing the fish, I silently said: “May my life be free from burdens, and may I be as liberated as the fish returning to the river.” I must say, it truly felt like a weight was lifted off my chest. This place is perfect for those seeking quiet time for self-reflection and meaningful merit-making. 🙏 📌 Convenient location, easy to reach, close to the city center, and right by the Ping River.
