Strolling and Flower Viewing in Chiang Mai Old City

When you visit Chiang Mai, you definitely have to take a stroll around the Old City. While many people might choose the more famous Nimmanhaemin Road, I personally prefer to experience the local way of life, so I rarely visit purely tourist areas. The Old City of Chiang Mai has a history of several hundred years and is relatively well-preserved. The most famous landmark is probably the Tha Phae Gate, but actually, every gate is quite nice. There are many local food stalls and restaurants near the gates where you can eat. If you want to experience truly local restaurants, you can go outside the city to the local residential areas, where there are more local dining options.
