"Upakut Temple"

☸ Today we will take you to worship at "Wat Upakut". It is believed that if anyone comes to pay homage to Phra Upakut, they will have enough to eat and use, be prosperous, not poor, and will be rich in business. 👫 It comes from a legend that there was a poor couple traveling across the Ping River to sell things. It was early morning on the 15th day of the waxing moon day🌕 and they met a novice monk. So they divided the things they intended to sell, raised them up, prayed, and put them in the novice's alms bowl. After receiving a blessing from the novice that day, the couple gradually became prosperous💵. Later, they learned from an old monk that the reason they were prosperous in business was because of the merit of giving alms to the novice, which was Phra Upakut Mahathera who was in Nidnadha Samadhi. When the 15th day of the waxing moon day arrived, he transformed into a novice monk and went out to collect alms early in the morning to help the people. After the couple found out about this, they built a temple in the area where the novice monk was found. 🕯️For those who have come to worship the red candle, don't forget to go up and pray to Phra Upakut at the top of the Ho Trai.
