Travel to Chiang Khan... Once upon a time

Chiang Khan is known as a place where everyone must experience nature.. Live a slow life without thinking too much. This time we came in the high season at the beginning of the year. The weather was cool and comfortable, not hot at all in the morning. It might be a little cold, but we think that coming during this time is very good. The people here are very friendly. When walking on the walking street, the vendors are good at making conversation. We think that everyone here is very friendly. This time we stayed at Jam Loei Rak. We felt very warm with the accommodation (review of the accommodation in the next post). We stayed in the middle of the walking street. The staff here welcomed us very well (I like it so much🫶🏻) Here, there will be a sticky rice alms giving in the morning (very strange for us). The monks will come to collect alms from 6 am to around 7 am (almost didn't wake up in time). The alms will be sold in front of the hotel. You can buy them from any shop. We bought them at the Phakdee Hotel. The kind auntie brought a mat for us and took pictures for us. Each alms set is 100 baht, but some shops have small sets for 60 baht. When we gave alms, the monks will give us blessings, which is considered a very good start to the day. Feeling indescribably warm ❤️ The signature food here is a must-try, Khao Pun Nam Jaew (with shrimp paste). I have to say that I really like it! If you ask if I want to come back, I will definitely come back!! Next time, I will try to sleep next to the Mekong River because the atmosphere is very good. If anyone has a plan to come, I recommend it. Don't think too much. We didn't drive here ourselves, but we didn't need to use a car here. We only used bicycles. It was not difficult to drive, very comfortable. It was considered a different kind of view. P.S. This time, we didn't go up to Phu Tok and took a ferry across.
