Invite you to relax in Chiang Khan

Chiang Khan is a charming slow-life town that I’d love to invite everyone to explore. There are plenty of activities to enjoy in and around Chiang Khan. You can rent a bicycle or borrow one from your accommodation to cycle from the Chiang Khan Walking Street to Kaeng Khut Khu along the riverside, enjoying the scenic views on a smooth road. At Kaeng Khut Khu, there’s a viewpoint, and if the water is shallow, you can even walk across to nearly the middle of the Thai-Laos border. Nearby, there’s a café called Baan Tid Din, which offers stunning views and delicious cakes—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery. In the evening, you can watch the sunset over the Mekong River, where the sunlight reflects on the water in a beautiful orange hue. The walking street is open daily, and it’s less crowded on weekdays compared to weekends. For those who love chasing morning mist, I recommend visiting Phu Thok. I’ve been there five times in December and encountered a sea of mist three times! 😆 As for souvenirs, I suggest coconut candy—it’s freshly made, grade A, and deliciously soft. If you’re into temples and spiritual sites, don’t miss Wat Phra Phutthabat Phu Khwai Ngern, which is filled with adorable rabbits. For travelers without a car or those who prefer not to cycle, you can hire the Skylab tour service. The drivers stop at various points for sightseeing. Chiang Khan has been a delightful destination for a long time.
