Chiang Dao - Mueang Khong, Thailand
Chiang Dao: A Little-Known Gem in Northern Thailand, which is stunningly beautiful and makes for a perfect weekend escape from Chiang Mai. The surrounding area and Pha Daeng National Park (formerly Chiang Dao) are popular for walking, hiking, and its local attractions.

Chiang Dao is approximately a 1.5-hour drive from Chiang Mai and is easy to get to by motorbike, bus or private car. For those who prefer the bus, hop on a local bus from Chiang Phueak Bus Station.

The old temple with history where it is also one of famous attractions to visit when traveling to Chiangmai. The temple has a tunnel which was constructed a very long time ago and you can walk in through to see the architecture inside too. There is also a pond on another side of the temple where people go to feed the fish and birds and having some good shots of photos while doing that.#วัดไทย
Chiang Dao is a small village situated almost fifty miles north of Chiang Mai along the 107 highway and upto this point is essentially untouched by tourism. There is not a great deal to see and do in Chiang Dao other than visit us cave or the Wat Tham Pha Plong temple. You can even hike to the summit of Doi Chiang Dao from November until April. However, the reason we visited this place was for the local hot springs. I call them local because they were setup and are primarily used by the local villagers. They basically consist of a number of concrete pipe sections which have been used to create small hot tubs that can fit two to three people. They gradually decreased in temperature the closer you get to the stream which runs alongside. The stream also acts as a plunge pool to cool off in once you get too hot in the springs. Entrance is free and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Give it a go. you won't be disappointed.

Less than 50 miles north of Chiang Mai in a fabulous jungle setting at the foot of Doi Chiang Dao mountain, Chiang Dao is a gateway to some excellent hiking and nature watching experiences, as well as being blessed with one of Thailand’s deepest and most interesting caverns marked by the venerated temple Wat Tham.
On Tuesday mornings a sprawling flea market takes over the town, and there are also some first rate restaurants to enjoy here all week too.

Amazingly peaceful stay in a lovely resort
This place is well hidden over the main road, a bit before Chiang Dao and is in a nice and quiet location in the paddys. Our room looked pretty new and was nicely furnished and equipped (that is if you don’t mind big wooden pllars around your bed!), including two terraces and a nice view. The hotel has a small pool, offers massages ( we had the best yet from our trip in Thailand, truly excellent ones).
Very nice view in morning during winter season. But a litter far to the town if you want to buy some snacks please buying before going to the resort. Nice place to healing. We can get the fresh air and mountain view. Many different type of room (ancient & modern). For the breakfast is buffet. For the recipient we need to ring the bell they don't have any staff for waiting to check-in process in the lobby room.

Chiang Dao is a picnic area where you can take photos with the big lake and the misty mountains in the background near Bangkok in Thailand 🇹🇭
There is a huge coffee shop and when we went it was at a busy time, so we had to wait a long time.
You can also play billiards inside the restaurant.
Outside, there is a small archery range. 🏹🏹🏹
And there is also a place made with beautiful mirrors to take pictures.

The beauty of Doi Luang 🇹🇭
#thailandtrip
Doi Luang Chiang Dao is a limestone mountain with a height of 7136 feet located in the border of Chiang Mai, Thailand 🇹🇭.It's a very beautiful place that only takes about 1 and a half hours from Chiang Mai. I'm sure you'll get a vibe like going to Zai Kapin Mountain in Baan.
If the foot of the mountain is so beautiful, I really wanted to climb the mountain.
Can I say that it was magnificent rather than really beautiful? When we drove through the fog and came out, we saw the Taungkha Masonry. It was really beautiful for a moment.
Chiang Dao Wildlife Sanctuary is a small place that has been submitted to UNESCO in 2021 and is even recommended as the best place for birdwatching in Thailand.
There are many famous homestays on the mountain, and this place is always fully booked and popular among Thai locals. Now all the homestays have been closed for a long time and the mountain is quiet except for a few villagers.

Mountain Season - Chiang Dao, Chiang Mai
My stay at 'Ruedoo Phu Khao' in Chiang Dao, Chiang Mai was a magical experience in nature. The resort is surrounded by picturesque mountains and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. I enjoyed the serene atmosphere as the place was perfect for a calm retreat and meditation away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The weather was refreshing, making it more enjoyable to sit outside, especially in the mornings and evenings. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Chiang Dao Mountain View
#thailandtrip
On my first day in Chiang Dao and looked for a cafe to see a view and I found this cafe someone recommended me before. It’s like half an hour walk from the city centre and I didn’t have a motorbike with me so I just walked. They have a nice decent view and good coffee as well. I’m not sure how their food is like though. As it was getting late and dark, I asked one of staffs at the counter if they could call a taxi for me, then this young lady, Min kindly gave me a ride which was really appreciated.Thank you so much for your help and I’ll definitely come back again ☺️overall ok

Shall we go to Chiang Dao?
Experience the atmosphere on the mountain peaks, sip tea and watch the sea of mist at Doi Luang Chiang Dao.
This trip offers many beautiful photos; every angle is stunning.
Enjoy the good vibes, sipping chrysanthemum tea while gazing at the sea of mist, you can sit all day long.
At night, camp out in the comfortable cool air.
The homestays in Chiang Dao are open periodically. It is recommended to book accommodation and check the dates before coming up, so you don't miss out. Once you arrive, immerse yourself in the atmosphere to the fullest.
Muang Kong Chiangmai
Muang Kong, a small community located behind Doi Luang Chiang Dao, shares the same route as Ban Na Lao Mai, which is where Ban Rabiang Dao is situated.
If you visit Ban Na Lao Mai, you can also explore Muang Kong. Despite being a small community, it has mini-marts and small restaurants scattered throughout the village, offering a pleasant atmosphere and clean air.
THE CAMPIAN
When it comes to Chiang Mai, Chiang Dao is one of the first places that comes to mind that one must visit. Today, I decided to stay at THE CAMPIAN, an accommodation where you can fully view the scenic Doi Luang Chiang Dao. No matter where you look, the view of Doi Luang is truly beautiful. This time, I stayed in Gallery 1, a Nordic-style house that is decorated with a touch of minimalism. Inside, there is a reasonable amount of living space. I especially love the bathtub area because you can soak in it while enjoying the view of Doi Luang Chiang Dao in absolute bliss.
I think they've done a really great job here, particularly in how they've divided the space for each house to ensure privacy by separating them and also providing ample space around each house itself. Moreover, you can also take a leisurely stroll around the accommodation.
