[Korean Hard Ticket] Former Cheongju Station Park [Dutching Machine]

Just under two hours from Narita on the Aero K train, or about 30 minutes by bus 407 from Cheongju International Airport, I arrived at the Old Cheongju Station Park. The current station was relocated far out of town due to a track relocation, but it seems there used to be a station in the city center, and the station building has been restored and turned into a park. The park's exhibits include old Korean hard-ticket tickets. Nowadays, Korail tickets are receipts or e-tickets, but in the past, hard-ticket tickets were used, similar to those in Japan, with the date stamped and punched in a Dutching machine. There was an explanation of how tickets have changed over time, which made for a fascinating tour. Entry is free. A recommended spot for train and ticket enthusiasts. #Cheongju
