The Most Comfortable Suite in Downtown Chengdu?!

This time in Chengdu, I chose The Temple House. I've previously stayed at its sister properties: The Opposite House in Beijing and The Middle House in Shanghai. The Chengdu location is called "The Temple House," likely because the hotel is adjacent to Taikoo Li, which houses the Daci Temple. I stayed in a suite called the Deluxe Suite, which offers panoramic views of Taikoo Li from the room's balcony or glimpses of the Chengdu TV Tower and residential buildings from the bedroom window. This suite is probably one of the most comfortable rooms in the entire hotel. The lower-tier suites don't have as good a view, while the higher-tier ones lack this balcony and are significantly more expensive. So, this suite is arguably the best overall option in the hotel. A friend who previously stayed in their standard room and the premium suite (priced at 5,000) found them quite ordinary or even somewhat disappointing. The suite's decor is stylish, following the same modern aesthetic as The Middle House, though the design feels less refined. However, it’s more comfortable to stay in. The hotel breakfast was disappointing—limited menu options with mediocre quality, and the buffet section only offered fruits and bread. Their homemade smoothies and yogurt also felt average. If it's your first time in Chengdu, I’d still recommend staying at this hotel for its prime location. But skip the breakfast—it’s really not good. You’re better off trying local Chengdu breakfast spots instead.
