The Temple House in Chengdu is amazing, I'll definitely come back next time

It's been a long time since I last visited Chengdu. As a city where hotel brands developed relatively early, it has collected almost all the luxury brands from the five major groups except Hyatt, along with niche boutique hotels like The Temple House, Diaoyutai, and Six Senses. Unfortunately, their performances were all rather mediocre, with several even considered the weakest links of their respective brands. This time I stayed at The Temple House in Taikoo Li, booking their 90-square-meter Studio Terrace Suite priced at 4k to 5k per night. The à la carte breakfast delivered to the room costs about 200-300 RMB per person, with average taste. I heard the breakfast at The Middle House in Shanghai (Jay Wang's favorite) is excellent - I'll try it next time. The turndown service included a facial mask from The Temple House Spa, nothing particularly special. Lastly, the terrace suite is truly spacious, and the entire hotel has an open layout with two Michelin-starred restaurants. The bar also has great ambiance. At night when the torches are lit, I had a couple drinks downstairs - the atmosphere was wonderful. Didn't try the vegetarian dishes at the Michelin one-star teahouse, but on the afternoon before departure after shopping, I spent two hours there drinking tea. Sweating it out in Chengdu's humid weather actually felt quite nice.
