Right here in the depths of Kejia Alley, Chunxi Road, Chengdu "Gui Xiang · GOLDEN AGE" brings French retro aesthetics into a Republican-era building. The moment I pushed open the door, I was captivated by the fragrance.💫 ▫️A romantic barrier through time and space ——One moment you're amidst the dazzling neon lights of IFS, the next you're immersed in a dream woven with high arched doorways and artistic staircases. Wrought iron railings on the open-air balcony are entwined with vines, and sunlight streams through stained-glass windows, casting painterly light spots. ▫️Living in an antique picture frame Carved fireplaces/velvet sofas/brass bathtubs in the rooms, even the hair dryer is housed in a vintage leather case. My favorite is the private terrace overlooking Chunxi Road, where I suddenly understood what Eileen Chang meant by "loneliness amidst the hustle and bustle." The soundproofing of the old building is surprisingly excellent; after closing the windows, I couldn't hear the noise of Chunxi Road at all. Yet, it retains just the right sense of age.
