A Spring Wonderland of Cherry Blossoms and Peach Blossoms

Today is a beautiful spring day with a high of 26°C, the perfect time to enjoy the outdoors and admire the flowers. Thanks to the thoughtful arrangements of my cousin and his family, we arrived at the "Xindao Paradise" in Xinjin Pear Blossom Creek, Chengdu, to embark on a romantic encounter with cherry blossoms, peach groves, and the mountains. This scenic area, covering over 2,000 acres, is themed "Romantic Paradise" and integrates forest wellness, flower viewing, and gourmet dining, making it the most heartwarming micro-vacation destination this spring. Upon entering Xindao Paradise, it's like stepping into a hidden valley of cherry blossoms. As we entered the scenic area, the rolling terrain and lush vegetation instantly blocked out the hustle and bustle of the city. Following the winding path, our eyes suddenly opened up to a breathtaking view—a ten-mile-long cherry blossom corridor, resembling clouds and snow. White and pink petals danced gracefully in the spring breeze, creating a truly awe-inspiring spectacle. This is arguably the most beautiful cherry blossom viewing spot in Chengdu. The scenic area boasts various cherry blossom varieties, including "China Red" and "Japanese Cherry," each blooming in its unique and charming way. The cherry blossom forest in the valley is particularly stunning. Sunlight filters through the branches, while bees and birds flit among the blossoms, adding vitality to this tranquil place. Halfway up the mountain, a peach grove came into view, its pink petals complementing the cherry blossoms, reminiscent of the idyllic paradise described by Tao Yuanming. Some buds were still waiting to unfurl, while others were in full bloom, attracting visitors to stop and take photos. The scenic area cleverly utilizes the terrain and ecological resources to create diverse leisure scenes. The tent campsite halfway up the mountain is the most surprising—canopies and tents are set up in a staggered arrangement, where visitors can gather around, either brewing tea by the stove or listening to the whispers of the mountain breeze. The air is filled with the fragrance of flowers and the scent of earth. Taking a deep breath feels like cleansing the lungs and soul. A path next to the campsite leads to the depths of the forest, where visitors can enjoy wellness activities such as hiking and yoga, truly experiencing the healing power of "facing the forest, spring blossoms blooming." The aerial restaurant showcases the "Tang Dynasty Elegance" on the tip of the tongue. The unique "aerial restaurant" in the scenic area is built against the mountain, with huge floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of the verdant mountains and murmuring streams. The antique decoration style blends seamlessly with nature. The signature Tang Dynasty cuisine uses top-quality ingredients and incorporates creative cooking techniques: cherry blossom-infused sweet wine, peach gum stewed soup, and exquisite cold dishes garnished with pear blossoms, each presented like a work of art. The waiters, dressed in Tang Dynasty costumes, serve a cup of clear tea, creating an illusion of traveling back to the prosperous Chang'an of a thousand years ago. Travel Guide: The peak blooming season for cherry blossoms and peach blossoms is from late March to early April. Driving from Chengdu to "Xindao Paradise" takes about 40 minutes. There is a parking lot in the scenic area, but it is recommended to arrive early on weekends to avoid peak hours. You can combine your visit with the Pear Blossom Market and Country Music Festival in the core area of Pear Blossom Creek, or visit the Tianfu Agricultural Expo Park to admire the colorful rapeseed flower fields.
