The hottest place in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, Kuanzhaixiangzi (宽窄巷子)

Kuanzhaixiangzhi translates to ‘wide and narrow alleys’ in Korean, and these alleys were created due to the differences in residential areas according to social status during the late Qing Dynasty. Regardless of its historical significance, it has now become the hottest place in Chengdu, a place where people of all ages can enjoy a day. The streets are filled with Sichuan Province’s unique foods and quaint yet stylish shops, and you can even see ear-piercing masseuses here and there. I visited this place in the winter. The weather was so warm and the food was so delicious. It was a place where I wanted to stay for days because of the appropriate mix of classic and modern.
