🏨 The Chengdu Baiyue Hilton Curio Collection Hotel, which opened in 2018, is the first Curio brand store in Chengdu. The hotel has a total of 394 rooms, including 48 apartment rooms from 6F-9F and 346 hotel rooms from 10F-25F. Since last year, the hotel has started to renovate and upgrade the public area of the lobby on the first floor, mainly involving areas such as the lobby bar, front desk, and restaurant. If you haven't had a previous stay experience, it's quite difficult to perceive the extent of the renovation changes. 🗺️ Compared to the Binjiang Curio, although Baiyue Curio has an executive lounge and swimming pool, its location is not as convenient as the latter. Therefore, I chose to drive there this time. The hotel's ground parking lot is located in the outdoor garden area, which is more convenient for guests staying on the apartment floors. The underground parking lot is shared with the Baiyue City residential complex developed by the owner, which is quite crowded. 🛏️ Baiyue Curio upgrades the regular room type for Diamond members to the basic room type of the apartment floor—the Deluxe Apartment Room, with an approximate area of 58 square meters. The apartment is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, gas stove, etc., but no matching kitchenware or tableware was seen; the Mini bar offers 4 bottles of mineral water and 4 bags of TG tea bags. The living area and the reception area are semi-divided by a TV wall, and the overall decoration is wrapped in solid wood panels, creating a warm family atmosphere; the bathroom is equipped with a bathtub and a washing machine, convenient for long-stay guests to change and wash clothes. 🛋️ The executive lounge is located on the 24F, and hotel guests can swipe their card to enter the lounge during business hours to enjoy coffee/soft drinks/cookies/fruits, 🈚️ afternoon tea. The variety of products during happy hour is quite rich, including 3 Sichuan-style cold dishes, 3 Western-style cold plates, 5 desserts, 5 hot dishes, and fruit salads, etc. However, the taste of the meals is quite bland, which makes me wonder if I have contracted Corona again, causing a problem with my sense of taste. 🍽️ Breakfast is served in the all-day restaurant on 1F, where the restaurant's sign and the original children's dining area have been renovated and redecorated, looking more simple and modern; the bakery area offers a rich variety of bread flavors, and if you like, you can also ask the waiter for a takeaway box to enjoy back home. 💁🏻‍♂️ The Curio in Longquan has always been trying to upgrade to a full-fledged Hilton, and the renovation and upgrade of the public area lobby on the first floor should be an initiative to meet the brand upgrade. I wonder if this time it will pass the group's assessment and evaluation and successfully upgrade to break the awkward situation where Chengdu only has the Hilton in the Universal Center. However, the geographical location of this Curio is really inconvenient, and travel can only rely on ride-hailing services, which is not very friendly to tourists from other places and is more suitable for local residents as a weekend stay option.
