Meet Xiao Wei with Huang Pinyuan in Chengdu

Dujiangyan Scenic Area The Dujiangyan Scenic Area, located on the main stream of the Minjiang River to the west of Dujiangyan City, was constructed by Li Bing, the governor of Shu County of the Qin State, and his son around 256 BC. It is the most intact ancient water conservancy project in China today. The project consists of the Fish Mouth Levee, the Feisha Weir flood channel, and the Baopingkou water diversion mouth as the three main components, along with subsidiary projects such as the Baizhang Dyke and the Renzi Dyke. It separates the turbulent Minjiang River into the outer river for flood discharge and the inner river for irrigation, turning the western Sichuan Plain into the 'Land of Abundance'. 2. Wuhou Shrine The Wuhou Shrine in Chengdu is a temple dedicated to the heroes of the Shu Han, such as Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang. It was founded in the first year of the Zhaolie Emperor of Shu Han (221 AD) when Liu Bei's Hui Ling was built, and the Han Zhaolie Temple was constructed at the same time. 3. Du Fu Thatched Cottage The former residence of Du Fu, the famous poet of the Tang Dynasty, during his stay in Chengdu. Du Fu lived here for nearly four years, writing hundreds of poems, making it a 'sacred site' in the history of Chinese literature. The current Du Fu Thatched Cottage has been restored multiple times during the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties.
