The Shuangta Mountain in Chengde is very unique.

Twin Towers Mountain Chengde Shuangta Mountain is a scenic spot that combines unique natural and cultural landscapes. 10 kilometers southwest of the Mountain Resort is a sub-division of the Chengde Mountain Resort Outer Eight Temples Scenic Area. Shuangta Peak is one of the ten famous mountains in Chengde and is a typical Danxia landform. Two huge rock pillars stand side by side from north to south, shaped like pagodas. The northern peak is relatively large, 35 meters high and 74 meters in circumference; the southern peak is smaller, 30 meters high and 34 meters in circumference. The two peaks are wide on top and steep on the bottom, making them difficult to climb. According to legend, the twin towers were built during the Khitan period about 1,300 years ago, and the construction of the towers remains a mystery to this day. The brick tower on the top of the South Peak faces north and south, with a remaining height of 5.2 meters. It is square in shape with a side length of more than 2 meters. The door is about 1.5 meters high and 1.3 meters wide. Square wood is placed on the corner for hanging bird-scare bells. The brick tower on the North Peak is relatively small.
