The Beautiful Blue City 💙

I arrived to Tanger and the next day I got ready to visit the blue city that everyone talked about. Yallah!🤩 Tangier to Chefchaouen route is serviced by the CTM Morocco bus company for 50 MAD also you can take the Grand Taxi and it will cost 30 MAD more and takes approximately 2h and a half. Also called the Blue City, Chaouen is known for its walls covered in different shades of blue. There are a couple of theories as to why the walls of the city were painted this colour. Some believe that it protects against mosquitoes, while others say that the Jewish community, after escaping Europe, painted the walls in a colour that symbolizes heaven. The month of April to June and September to October are recommended for visiting. 1) Try to go on a Monday when is quieter and early morning to not get fried.😂 2)The markets are calmer than in other Moroccan cities. 3) People speak more Spanish than English in this area. 😁 #morocco #bluecity #mountainview#passionpassport
