Chaozhou Ancient City @Chaoshan Supplement: 10/9/2/23 (Day 2) Attractions: Chaozhou West Lake, Xu Fu Ma's Mansion, Kaiyuan Temple, Xiashui Gate, Guangji Gate Tower, Guangji Bridge . After finishing breakfast at the hotel at 0900 in the morning, we started our tour of the ancient city. We decided to make Chaozhou West Lake our first stop and walked towards the inner streets of the ancient city along the West Lake. It rained last night and the weather was clear this morning, making the photos more colorful. We walked beside the West Lake. The blue sky, white clouds and lush green trees reflected in the lake were a natural sight that was very refreshing. I strolled along the inner street and bought some famous teas - Yashixiang and Milanxiang - for my own enjoyment. We strolled to the inner alley of Xu Fu Ma's Mansion, gave each person a $20 admission ticket, and started walking around. Some doorways have very high thresholds, so be careful when entering. The buildings are very antique and well preserved. It's a great opportunity to see the design of ancient architectural complexes. After walking through many alleys, we finally arrived at the Kaiyuan Temple, which was very popular. Many believers were burning incense and worshipping. Some of the temples had bamboo sheds outside and were under repair. Walk into the snack street, pass through the Xiashuimen town, and then go to Guangji Tower. Climb up to the gate of Guangji Tower and look down at the front of the tower, the Guangji Bridge and the Han River. The view is nice. It is a pity that I came to Guangji Bridge but couldn't cross it. Unexpectedly, due to the extremely low water level of the Shui Han River, ships could not reach the center of the bridge, providing a bridge path for people to walk across the river.
