King Taksin the Great Shrine

King Taksin the Great Shrine is located on Tha Luang Road, Mueang District, Chanthaburi Province, in front of Taksin Camp. Nearby is the Chanthaburi City Pillar Shrine. This is a nine-sided building with a statue of King Taksin inside. It is considered a spiritual place for the people of Chanthaburi Province. Most locals and tourists who visit this province must pay homage at this shrine for good luck and to remember the great kindness of His Majesty who gathered his people to regain independence from Burma. There is convenient parking inside. There are places to worship incense, candles, flowers, and perfumes. Nearby is the City Pillar Shrine. You can pay homage to two places at once. Every year on December 28th is the anniversary of His Majesty's accession to the throne.
