Once at the top, grab a snack, chill, and soak up the scenery—think lush greenery, city panoramas, and that totally #changsha vibe. For the downward journey, take an easy hike down to the south entrance, make a few attractions pit stop on your way down. It takes approximately 45 minutes to walk down without stopping. Most are steps with clear signage. Bonus tip: downward is way less tiring and lets you discover more hidden corners of the mountain. Visit the Yuele Academy near the south entrance if you are interested in scholars of the past. Getting Around Take Changsha Metro Line 2 or grab a cab to Yuelu Mountain East Gate. On the way down from the south entrance, you’ll be closer to public transport and local snack stalls. Try Changsha stinky tofu for an authentic treat!
