Northeast Jilin - Visit Puyi's Former Residence 'Puppet Manchurian Palace Museum'

Visit the 'Puppet Manchurian Palace Museum' in Northeast Jilin, which showcases the life and times of Puyi, the puppet emperor supported by Japan. The palace, once Puyi's residence, has been transformed into the current Puppet Manchurian Palace Museum. The palace is divided into two parts: the outer court for political activities and the inner court for daily life. These have been converted into the Puppet Manchurian Palace Exhibition Hall and the Puppet Imperial Palace Exhibition Hall, respectively. Outside the museum, a stone monument replicates Puyi's imperial car, reflecting the luxurious lifestyle of that era. The museum includes architectural sights such as the Jixi Building, Zhonghe Gate, Huaiyuan Building, and Tongde Hall. Part of the imperial palace has been turned into the Jilin Provincial Museum, showcasing historical materials from the feudal dynasties established in Northeast China, including Goguryeo, Bohai, Liao, and Jin. Visitors can tour Puyi's bedroom, study, Empress Wanrong's bedroom, living room, and smoking room, evoking scenes from early Republican-era TV dramas with a Western retro feel. The imperial garden, designed in a Japanese style, is also quite beautiful and elegant.
