Nong Muang Temple

Wat Nong Muang is a local temple of the people of Nong Muang Village, Village No. 2, approximately 143 years old. It used to be located on the bank of the Chao Phraya River, but it deteriorated due to the impact of water eroding the bank. At present, it has been moved to Nong Muang Village. There is a sacred object, Luang Pho Ba, which the villagers of Wat Khok Subdistrict worship. Religious objects include the principal Buddha image in the ordination hall, in the Mara-Vijaya attitude, 52 inches wide and 60 inches high. The principal Buddha image in the sermon hall, in the Samadhi attitude, 52 inches wide and 75 inches high, built in 1989. Other religious objects include a four-sided pavilion. Wat Nong Muang was established in 1875 and received the royal charter on June 10, 1916. Administration and governance The current abbot is Phra Khru Suphatchaikun. #Chainat
