Mrigadayavan Palace

Mrigadayavan Palace is located in Cha-am District, Phetchaburi Province. It was the summer residence of King Rama VI. It was built in 1923. Mrigadayavan Palace is a summer palace that King Rama VI ordered to be built as a place for the king to stay, relax and heal himself. It was also the summer residence of King Rama VI. Mrigadayavan Palace is located in the area of Kamphaeng Phra Ram 6 Camp, Huai Sai Nuea Subdistrict. It is a seaside palace that King Rama VI ordered to demolish the Chao Samran Palace and rebuild it in 1923. It is called the Palace of Love and Hope. The palace is a mix of Thai and European styles. It is a wooden building on stilts, built of golden teak. The inner palace is on the right wing. The left wing is the front wing. It consists of three throne halls connected throughout. The Samut Phiman Throne Hall was the residence of Queen Indrasaksachi, the royal consort. The Phisan Sakorn Throne Hall was the residence of King Rama VI. There were many buildings for the royal courtiers and a terrace extending into the sea for bathing. The Samoson Sevakamat Throne Hall was an open-air two-story hall used as a meeting place on various occasions and was a theater where two important plays were performed: Phra Ruang and Wiwa Phra Samut. In 1941, Chao Phraya Ramrakhop built a statue of King Rama VI as a royal memorial and placed it in the audience hall of Mrigadayavan Palace. A royal merit-making ceremony was held to pay homage on the anniversary of his death on November 25 every year. Mom Luang Phumjai Chumphon designed the gardens, which were inspired by the royal compositions of King Rama VI. There are various gardens as follows: Venice Vanich Garden Designed in the Renaissance style, it is located at the very front of the royal palace as a meeting point, similar to Venice, which was a trading center. Sakuntala Garden uses various types of pine trees as a wall around the garden. The area inside the garden is used as a stage for performances. Matanaphatha Garden is decorated with dense rows of Khoi trees that can withstand the sun and sea breeze. Travel: Located in the Phra Ram VI Camp on Phetkasem Road, kilometers 216-217, 8 kilometers past Cha-am Beach. #Get a discount without relying on luck
