The museum is well-adorned and interesting to visit.👍 Casa Gorordo is a house museum located in the historic Parian district of Cebu, the oldest city in the Philippines. It is owned and managed by the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) under its Culture & Heritage focus area. The house was acquired by RAFI from the Gorordo family in 1979, renovated and enhanced, and opened to the public as a museum in 1983. In recognition of its historical and social significance, the National Historical Institute (now the National Historical Commission of the Philippines) conferred on Casa Gorordo Museum the title “National Historical Landmark” in 1991." Built in the 1850's, it lived through several important social changes that shaped modern Filipino identity. Casa Gorordo Museum is notable for being the residence of Juan Gorordo, the first native bishop of Cebu. 🎨Some items displayed in the house include wooden carvings, kitchen utensils, household items, art collections and clothes. Visitors are provided with tablets that guide them through the different rooms of the two-story house. 🔝The place itself is pretty outside and inside.
