🎈Cappadocia in Turkey is famous for its colorful hot air balloons floating over rocky cliffs. It is a world-famous tourist destination, but there are few hot air balloon days in the winter, making it an off-season. I visited Cappadocia twice, in 2015 and 2022. The first time I visited, it was spring, so I was able to ride the hot air balloon right away without any problems, and the second time was in mid-March, which was winter and required a padded jacket. Because of the wind, the hot air balloons would only take off once a week. However, I wanted to see the spectacular sight of the hot air balloons from the ground again, so I waited a week for the hot air balloons to take off. One day, instead of the hot air balloons taking off, it snowed in Cappadocia!
