Parks Tour: Check in Federal Park, the best attraction of the Canberra Flower Show If you love nature and flowers, when you come to Canberra’s annual spring flower show (Floriade), be sure to visit Commonwealth Park. The biggest highlight of Federal Park is the flower show held every spring, which features a sea of millions of flowers, specially designed floral art installations, and different colors of tulips, violets, sunflowers and more. The park is open and has a beautiful background for taking pictures. It is best for couples, families or friends to come and take beautiful photos together. Itinerary route suggestions: Walking in from the south entrance of the park, you will first see the large flower display area, which is recommended to walk all the way along the main trunk road, with colorful flower fields on both sides. Walk to the central location with a special main stage, usually with workshops, performances or markets in the morning, where you can stop and participate. Then you can go near the lake location, the view is more open, you can take pictures of flowers and lake water blending beautiful scenery. There are stalls around the park selling snacks and coffee during lunch time, so you don't have to worry about starving. Must-play items photo spots: 1. Tulip flower field: Beautiful from every angle, it is recommended to take pictures in the morning when the light is brighter. 2. Characteristic floral sculptures: Every year, there will be a large art installation at the flower show. 3. Lakeside Walk: Walk along the lake for a lap. The scenery is comfortable and fits the hipster route. Tips: 1. The peak season for flower shows is usually from September to October. It is recommended to go on weekdays as much as possible to avoid the weekend peak. 2. There are few people going in the morning, and photography is not easily blocked by people. 3. You can bring a water bottle and a sun hat, the garden is shaded but the weather is prone to heat. 4. If you want to buy flower show-exclusive products, please pay attention to the booth opening hours. Notes: 1. The park is open all year round, but the flower show is only limited to spring. 2. Some areas are accessible for the elderly and strollers. 3. If you drive, parking nearby during the new exhibition is easy to be full, to arrive early.
