Ceramics Museum

#OctoberGoodDestinations2024 The Çanakkale Ceramics Museum is open to the public free of charge. It is a beautiful building converted from an old bathhouse where you can view and purchase traditional ceramic products. You can also choose to go to the ceramic shop next to the museum, where exquisite ceramics can be bought as souvenirs. The Dardanelles Command handed over the private baths to the city of Çanakkale for use as a ceramics museum. The museum opened in 2013 and its exhibition collection is mainly shaped by traditional Çanakkale ceramics. Çanakkale ceramics are learned through the traditional master-apprentice method, and the masters' production process is also recorded and included in the collection. The museum aims to express bathing culture and ceramic culture, and has created corresponding exhibition units. Not only can you see the floor plan of the site, but also traces of the functions within the building and the corresponding decorative elements. The information board explains the history of the building, the architecture of the baths and the culture of the Turkish baths for tourists to refer to. It is a good and interesting place. Recommended
