Tropical wood is used indoors to give the space a heavy and steady feeling; hand-woven textiles have a soft touch; and stone makes the building seem embedded in the land. The living and dining room adopt an open layout to enhance family interaction; the bedroom is a private sanctuary for meditation and introspection.
