Domrei Saw Temple or White Elephant Temple

Wat Dom Rey So or Wat Chang Phueak, Battambang, Cambodia It is a sister temple to Wat Kaew Phichit in Prachin Buri Province, Thailand. It was built by Chao Phraya Abhaibhubejhr. The temple was built because Khunying Sueing, Chao Phraya Abhaibhubejhr's first wife, fell ill. She made a vow that if she recovered, she would build a temple. When she recovered, Chao Phraya Abhaibhubejhr and Khunying Sueing built this temple. After Khunying Sueing passed away, her ashes were enshrined in the pagoda at this temple. The chapel is decorated with stucco patterns both inside and outside, whether it be the pediment, the pillars, the door arches, and the windows, which are painted stucco works. - High-relief stucco works of Ramakien on the outside walkway - Stucco works of Garuda floating gracefully decorating the pillars, which are delicately and gracefully sculpted. -Stucco work of Phra Wessantara riding a white elephant, Phakchanaken -Stucco work of the story of the battle between Phra Ram and Thotsakan in front of the chapel -Stucco work of the story of the battle between Phra Lak and Indrajit in the back of the chapel -Above the front and back door frames of the chapel, there is also a stucco work of the royal seal of King Chulalongkorn of the Kingdom of Siam. Inside the chapel, there is a principal Buddha image. There are mural paintings of the life story of the Buddha in three dimensions.
