10 days in Egypt, easy travel, budget-friendly, great feel! Cairo ✈ Aswan 🚗 Luxor 🚗 Hurghada ✈ Dahab ✈ Cairo DAY 1 – Arrive in Cairo → Fly to Aswan immediately Before going through immigration, buy a visa attached to the pass + exchange money to Egyptian Pound After going through immigration, buy a SIM card (recommended my e&) and fly to Aswan Once you arrive, go sightseeing! Walk in the park → Take a felucca boat in the evening → Eat at a famous restaurant on Koh Chang, good view, good food~ DAY 2 – Drive for 8 hours to “Abu Simbel” and back On the way back, stop to see the Aswan Dam (so-so, not wow), stop at KFC, it’s delicious Walk around Carrefour – fruit juice boxes are very cheap! I bought several boxes DAY 3 – Drive from Aswan → Luxor On the way, stop by “Philae Temple” in the middle of the water, very beautiful! Afternoon: Karnak Temple is amazing Evening: Go to “Valley of the Kings” (Valley of the Kings) in the evening is not too hot, the carvings are beautiful Evening: Eat Chinese food, delicious, missing home DAY 4 – Morning balloon + The best temple of the trip! Early morning, watch the sunrise from the balloon (even going up the second time is still great) Then drive to “Dendera Temple” (Dendera Temple) – must go! Hatshepsut Temple (Hatshepsut) is beautiful but not the best Before evening, stop by Luxor Temple, walk until nightfall, the atmosphere is great DAY 5 – Drive to Hurghada, the blue seaside city Afternoon: Charter a boat out to sea for 4 hours, look for dolphins & snorkel Saw purple jellyfish all over the sea! Evening: Go to the fish market, eat fresh seafood, very cheap, delicious! DAY 6 – Fly to Sharm El Sheikh → Take a car to Dahab Arrived late because the flight was delayed (Almost all flights in Egypt are delayed!) Arrived in Dahab, had Chinese food → Snorkeled from the shore for 1 hour Evening: Kayaked to watch the sunset Night: Campfire, turned into a local show, can't understand but interesting DAY 7 – Relaxing but packed day Morning: Try local pizza – recommended! Noon: Horseback riding by the sea, cool breeze, not hot at all Afternoon: 2 more dives (but the oxygen tank is heavy!) Night: Fishing trip in the middle of the sea, so awesome! DAY 8 – Walk the “Color Canyon” trail + fly back to Cairo After the hiking trip, drive back to Sharm → Fly back to Cairo → Check in to the accommodation near the pyramids DAY 9 – Pyramid & Museum Day The pyramid area is now renovated, easy to walk, beautiful photos Afternoon: Book a Chinese guide to tour the “Old Egyptian Museum” – very good, highly recommended! Evening: Walk around Khan el-Khalili Market – beautiful but don’t expect too much DAY 10 – Return Day Morning: Shop for souvenirs at Carrefour → Head straight to the airport to go home Tips from this trip: ⚠ Book a hotel with free cancellation because Egypt often has unexpected events such as sandstorms ⚠ If there are 4 of you, it will be very convenient to rent a car ⚠ Almost every domestic flight is delayed, don’t plan too tightly ⚠ Dandera Temple = must go! ⚠ Hethshepsut Temple = skip it if you don’t have enough time ⚠ Don’t forget to carry “chili powder” with you!
