Busan Haeundae Sand Sculpture Festival

The 2025 Haeundae Sand Sculpture Festival will conclude on June 8, marking the 20th anniversary of the event. This year, the theme of the 20 exhibits is K-Culture. The sculptures showcase symbols of Korean culture, including the myth of Dangun (legend), Goguryeo hunting murals (sports), Hangul (King Sejong), K-pop (Rosé's APT), Dae Jang Geum and Korean cuisine (food), and character icons (Baby Abalone). The centerpiece of the festival is a massive 3D sand sculpture standing 12 meters tall and 25 meters wide. It features Gyeongbokgung Palace, the Dabotap Pagoda, and Cheomseongdae Observatory as its backdrop, depicting Admiral Yi Sun-sin and traditional wedding scenes. Transportation to the Haeundae Sand Sculpture Festival is very convenient, with easy access via subway and buses.
