Tens of thousands of shining lotus lanterns embroider the night like stars at the Samgwangsa Temple Lantern Festival ✨ Samgwangsa is one of the three major temples in Busan, along with Beomeosa and Haedong Yonggungsa, and is very large with a congregation of about 300,000. It is widely known as the largest lantern festival in the country because of the numerous lanterns, reaching about 40,000, that are hung all over this large temple. Its splendor has also earned it a spot on CNN's '50 Beautiful Places to Visit in Korea' list. The temple is a dazzling place filled with lanterns overhead, and in addition to the basic lanterns, you can see various lanterns such as large dragons, lotus flowers, elephants, and even moving lanterns.
