Grandfather U-Lu Shrine, Don Pho Island, Bueng Khong Long 🐍

Continuing from the previous post, after going to make merit at Pu U Lu Shrine, another place you must not miss is Don Pho Island, Bueng Khong Long. According to legend, this island is believed to be the palace of Phraya Karat. To get there, we boarded the pier behind Pu U Lu Shrine. The boat fare is 100 baht per person. It will take a long time, almost 30 minutes, because the pier is quite far. Those who are going there recommend boarding at Mae Tim Pier. It takes 5-10 minutes to reach Don Pho Island. When we arrive at the island, we have to wade through the water to the ceremony point (the day we went, we were lucky the water was not deep). The water is about the top of the mountain, we can walk in. In the middle of the island, there is a statue of Pu U Lu using a Bodhi tree for people to worship.
