Széchenyi Chain Bridge - Budapest

Széchenyi Chain Bridge is one of many bridges in the capital of Hungary, Budapest. This iconic chain bridge sits above the River Danube, connecting Buda and Pest (eastern & western of the city). This chain bridge is 16m wide and 375m long. It was opened in 20 November 1849, but however it’s closed since March 2021 for refurbishment and the it’s plan to reopen in year 2023. There are several tourist attractions nearby, including the Hungarian Parliament Building, Shoes on the Danube Bank and the Buda Castle Funicular Station. *BONUS* This bridge also appears in Katy Perry’s Firework music video! #celebratewithtrip #budapest #hungary #bridge #szechenyichainbridge #europe #darwintravel
