#European Christmas De Witte Pelikaan (The White Pelican) located on Vlamingstraat in the heart of Bruges is known as the first all-year round Christmas shop in Belgium. The concept is to sell furniture, toys and Christmas decorations, similar to the German Käthe Wohlfahrt (which also has a branch in Bruges). However, the atmosphere is different. De Witte Pelikaan has a more elegant, sophisticated, and mature decoration style, while still maintaining the fairytale feel. This fits the popular interior design style in Belgium and the Netherlands. This unique character makes it a shop worth visiting, and it has been recommended by Brussels Airlines and various magazines, including Visit Bruges. The De Witte Pelikaan shop is a Renaissance building decorated in the Baroque style. The storefront is decorated to look like a large snow globe. When you step inside, you are in a beautiful Christmas kingdom. What I like is that even though the decorations are dazzling, they are arranged neatly and not cluttered at all. The lower floor of the shop is even more dreamy than the upper floor. Because it was converted from the original cellar of the building with both arched ceilings and exposed bricks and cement. The interior is decorated as Santa's world, worth seeing and taking pictures from every angle. It can be said that you can shop and take pictures in one place.
