Cabin style hotel in the clouds

Address: Copthorne Cameron Highlands, Kea Farm, Brinchang 39100 Cameron Highlands Pahang Price: 💰💰 Rating: ⭐️ Nestled high above sea level, Copthorne Cameron Highlands presents itself as a four-star hotel strategically located amidst popular tourist attractions like the strawberry farm and sheep sanctuary. Opting for a twin deluxe room for a night's stay with the aimed to explore the nearby farms during my visit. Lobby: The expansive lobby boasts a charming cabin aesthetic with towering ceilings, which screams vintage all around; felt like I was transported back in time. A leisure and warm hobby station, featuring amenities like massage chairs, billiards, and old-school arcade games, adds a recreational touch. The games requires 2-4 tokens to play - 1 token for 2 RM. The downside is that they only accept large notes of 10 RM, so you'll have to either change more and play more or forfeit the tokens. Room: We got a free room upgrade for our stay! We were really excited as it came with a balcony. Upon entering the room, the first thing that greeted us was the old musky smell. Upon inspection, we realized it was from the molds that was growing all over the room, the walls, bathroom curtains and the corners of the rooms. As it was only for a night stay, we were too lazy to get it changed. The room came with basic amenity - 2in1 soap and shampoo, toothbrush, shower cap, body lotion and slippers. There were also a coffee and tea bar. Hot water was provided but it was only available at the lobby. The toilet comes with a bathtub but being surrounded all the molds, its a no bubble bathe for me. Not to mention, the drainage of the bathtub was pretty bad. There was no aircon available as it's generally very cold in Cameron Highlands. The view from the balcony was decent, you can watch the sunrise and occasional fog and clouds that flows in. The hairdryer wasn't working, so we had to sleep with wet hair. Other Facilities Copthorne Cameron Highlands offers additional facilities such as an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center, and a children's playground, providing options for varied leisure activities. Staffs The staffs were all super nice and friendly, and the concierge even offered to send us to the shopping mall at night as there wasn't any taxi or grab available. Despite it's convenient location, I think it's not worth the stay for tourist who are particular on cleanliness. I did fell sick after a night here. I highly recommending staying more central, and rent a car for a day to explore the farms around here. #hotelreview
