It’s the start of one of my favourite slow-travel adventures. From Moreton-in-Marsh station, you’re instantly surrounded by classic honey-coloured cottages and wide village greens. I love starting with a coffee and pastry from a local bakery before either wandering on foot or catching a local bus or cab to nearby villages like Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water, or Broadway. Each stop feels like a postcard: flower-filled windowsills, cosy pubs, old bookshops, and sheep-dotted hills in every direction. There’s always time for a cream tea, a peek into antique shops, and a quiet walk along the Cotswold Way.
