Escape the crowds and let your soul fly in Bøstad! This tiny town tucked away in the southwestern corner of the Lofoten Islands gave me an unexpectedly healing experience✨ I only discovered the Lofoten Viking Museum (Vikingveien 539) in the last hour in town. The Viking-style building with red walls and wooden windows is especially eye-catching. Although I didn’t get to go inside, just walking around the museum’s exterior and seeing the Viking ship replicas and fishing tools on display sparked my imagination⛵ I have to say, Bøstad is truly a hiker’s paradise! There’s a trail behind the museum that leads straight to the seaside. On clear days, you can see the snow-capped mountains on the opposite shore reflected in the water. We encountered rainy weather, which made it feel even more atmospheric, with mist swirling around like stepping into a Nordic myth scene🌊 A 15-minute walk takes you to the legendary "Southwest Corner," where there’s a cluster of rocks perfect for photos. Though small, the town hides many surprises: • 📍Torvdalshalsen Pier: a small harbor filled with colorful fishing boats • 📍Bøstad Church: a white wooden church that’s super photogenic • 📍An art space converted from an old fish oil factory Tips: 🚌 Take bus 300 from Svolvær, about 1.5 hours direct 🦪 Fiskekrogen restaurant by the pier serves super fresh sea lobster ☔️ Weather changes quickly, be sure to bring a waterproof jacket 📸 The best light for sea views is from 8 to 10 AM Sitting on the return ferry, still savoring the moment, this quiet town where you can hear the sound of the waves is truly the most precious treasure of the Lofoten Islands～
