✅ Weather & Outfit: It snowed every night a few days ago. The day was sunny and amazing, but the temperature was bone-chilling—down jacket + fleece gloves + thick scarf are a must. Wearing jeans will freeze your legs, so I recommend adding thermal leggings (don’t mind the look, warmth is most important). Friends who didn’t wear down jackets or gloves froze after just one minute of shooting, hunching their shoulders and putting their hands in their pockets 🥶 It will only get colder later, so go on a sunny day for the best experience! ✅ Photography Equipment: I used the 16pro’s original camera, but I have to say: the lake looks bluer and the snow-capped mountains more three-dimensional to the naked eye. The phone can only capture about 70% of the beauty. I also took some photos with a camera; both camera and phone shots look great, but neither compares to the real experience. When the sunlight hits the lake, the ripples sparkle like crushed diamonds, even the dry grass by the shore glows. Breathing the fresh air, listening to the wind, watching the lake and snow mountains—it’s truly unforgettable 🥹 ✅ Pitfall Warning: Don’t believe “Sailimu Lake isn’t cold in October”! The scenic area is over 5℃ colder than the city, and the wind feels like little knives on your face. Without a thick coat, you can’t take good photos at all. Also, if you want to shoot the sunrise, try to get there early. The sunrise at Sailimu Lake is stunning, but I couldn’t get up in time. I sincerely recommend everyone to come. Sailimu Lake after snow on a sunny day has the gentleness of autumn and the crispness of winter.
