Issyk-Kul Lake is located in Kyrgyzstan, in the northern part of the Tian Shan Mountains. The lake has an average depth of 279 meters, a maximum depth of 702 meters, an elevation of 1609 meters, and covers an area of 6332 square kilometers. It is a non-freezing lake. The water here is clear and blue, often referred to as 'the pearl dropped by God'. There is a popular saying in Kyrgyzstan: 'If you haven't been to Issyk-Kul, you haven't been to Kyrgyzstan'. The shores of Issyk-Kul are gentle and flat, with small bays on the east and southeast sides. The soil is mainly sandy. The lake water is sky blue, clear, and salty. Due to its high mineral content, it is not suitable for drinking or irrigation, but it is sometimes used for cattle without needing desalination.
