Grizedale Forest

#birminghamtrip Grizedale Reservoir to the top of Nicky Nook. Nicky Nook is a small picturesque fell (214 metres) looking over the village of Scorton, near Garstang, birmingham, England. Although relatively modest in height, this lovely little fell offers amazing views over the Lancashire coastal plain and beyond to the Lake District fells. On a clear day, you can see the Isle of Man and the Great Orme on the welsh coast of Llandudno. a place the walk in places can be challenging but well worth the effort for the vistas . Car parking is easy and free and the place is dog friendly beautiful place a must do for any walker or none walker Once at the summit it is lovely views in every direction you look very picturesque and great for some panoramic shots. Quite a steep way down from the summit steps wise best to mind your footing in areas but I wouldn’t say challenging unless you had a 4 year on on your shoulders lol. The path levels out and you walk through forested areas with lovely flowers(spring time) bluebells etc with lovely water areas ie reservoir and steams etc and then it leads eventually back round to a road that leads you back to the same starting point just past the car park areas.
