Ranked 91st in the world (QS 2023) and 20th in the UK, the University of Birmingham is a university with a long history and a strong focus on academic research. It is also a founding member of the Russell Group, which represents the highest level of academic research and teaching in the UK, and has a very high reputation in the international academic circle. There are 17 departments ranked among the top ten in the UK, including tourism and hotel management, physiotherapy, philosophy, creative writing, social policy research, computer science, electrical and electronic engineering, chemical engineering, etc. There are 11 Nobel Prize winners among its professors and graduates. From rocks and fossils to volcanoes, earthquakes, and even dinosaurs, the museum captures the imagination of people of all ages. Nice campus, easy to get there by train. The station is called "University". But it's a fairly large campus and poorly signposted.
